Q: What types of positions do you fill? A: We recruit people in the following industries: Automotive, Construction, Manufacturing, General Labor, Call Centers and Clerical/administrative services. These industries encompass a wide variety of career fields ranging from highly skilled technical positions to general jobs.
Q: How long do the assignments last? A: The length of the assignment varies according to our client company's needs. Some are short-term; some are long-term. We work to match the right person with the right job, so if you desire long-term assignments with 40-hour work weeks, then we'll strive to put you in that type of assignment, however the assignments are subject to our clients' needs.
Q: How and when am I paid? A: Contract employees are paid weekly by AWI. Typically contract employees are based on the number of hours worked and the position's pay rate; in some cases contract employees are paid a salary. Direct placement employees are paid in accordance with our client company's payroll policies.
Q: Does AWI offer any benefits? A: Contract employees working at least 40 hours a week are eligible for AWI benefits after 90 days. Benefits which currently include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability. We also presently offer 401K and 529 plans. AWI offers a variety of affinity benefits like, moving and housing for long term placements.
Q: Will I make more money as a contract employee or in a permanent position? A: You may be surprised. Many times you can make more money as a contract employee than as a direct hire permanent employee.
